New compact digicam suggestions?

[SlimJ]

Hi Guys,

My mum and dad are looking to get a new digital camera, just a compact and nothing too complicated to use. Looking to spend upto £200 on one.

Never really looked at compacts myself as I prefer SLR type cameras.

Anyone have any suggestions? They go to Canada on Thursday and want one before then, nice of them to give me plenty of warning!

Cheers
James

Depends what kind of thing they're looking for. Do they want something small enough to carry in a pocket or something a bit bigger with more settings?

Not had one personally but the Canon Ixus range get good write ups.

I can recommend the Casio Exilim EX-Z750, which should ve available at a good price.

Thanks,

Looking at the Casio ex-z850 from Amazon for £174, seems to get good write ups!

This uses Lithium Ion batteries also which is always better than AAs!
