Anybody know of any decent and free PVR software that works with this?
Supplied software is awfull.
Still £15 for digital TV card is a bit of bargain!

Not sure if it'll work... but MediaPortal might be worth looking at.

Tried Media Portal but didn't work.
Drivers are allegedly BDA compliant.

In what way didn't it work with Media Portal? Did it give an error, or just not find any channels?

By K-Tech do you really mean KWorld?
GBPVR (www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki/) supports some KWorld cards.

Do you know what chipset it uses? (do "lspci" in Linux, not sure how you do similar in Windows though).

If you fancy trying Linux, MythTV might support it, although you may have to hunt down some drivers.

My mistake K-World it is.
Chipset is Conexant DVBT 2388x.

Strictly WIN XP no Unix.

Can't remember specific erros but it essentialy couldn't see the card.

Hmm, I've got a hauppage card with exactly the same chipset which works fine in MediaPortal.
Have you downloaded the update as well as the install file?

I'm running Stable Release 0.2.0.0 with 0.2.0.4 update applied. Installed both of thos and then ran the setup tool.

The cards need a good arial plugged into them. Have you got a digibox running through the arial you're plugging into the back of the card? Mine wouldn't work with a portable internal arial, but worked better than my STB when plugged into the main house arial.

Only works with house aerial for me too.
Just rebuilt PC so will try again.
