Mounting a PC in a drawer....sideways?
Discussion
I've got a standard pc tower case, no overclocking so the temperatures stay cool with only minimum fan noise. I'm now moving towards a wireless and hidden system, so the only thing you see on the desk is the keyboard and the mouse and I want the computer hidden away aswell.
I've got a nice big draw in a side unit that the case will fit in, but it means the case will be lying on it's side. I know the m/b and psu and stuff will be ok and as the PS2 can run horizontally and vertically, the DVD drive should be ok, but do the hard disks need to be mounted horizontally or can they run ok with them vertically?
To accomodate a bit extra cooling in the draw, i'll be fitting an extra fan in the back.
Only problems I can see is the hard drives and if there's going to be enough room for the DVD drive to spit a disk out.

Yeah, I always get Angels and Angles the wrong way round, drives me up the wall when editing a large document. Usually I stick two post-it notes to me screen with the spelling and definition jotted down.
I've managed to mount my pc in the drawer, chopped the tower system into three parts so everything is still the right way up and it's working perfect.
I've got the back of the drawer cut out completely, but I'm still a little worried about the internal temperature as the hard disk drives seem to chuck out an awful lot of heat. Is there any way to monitor what the CPU temperature is? I have a feeling it'll be in the bios somewhere, but can't remember how to access it.
