...it's a Ford part, sorry don't know the details. Brace yourself though, the garage who fitted my new one was so shocked by the price he charged me trade price for it....£95!

I'm sure you probably have but probably worth checking why the old pump went. I had to replace mine twice in 8 months because a kind dealership (who will remain nameless) negelcted to clear out the gunk that had built up in the petrol tank!

....hmmm maybe it's not a Ford part then. Was a while back when the garage sorted it, thought they said it came from Ford, could be wrong. Either way it was more money than expected.

Edited to correct my sloppy spelling

Mine went instantly, complete loss of power and lots of strange misfires due to fuel starvation as I ground to a halt near Derwent reservoir in the Peak District. (On reflection I couldn't think of more scenic place to breakdown )...anyhow, the shaft had broken up on mine, there was no warning.

Many thanks to the passing Chimp owner who stopped to have a nose (I love TVR ownership!) Alas he didn't have a spare handy so it was left to the RAC to sort out....which is another story.......

While on the subject of fuel pumps, just how noisy is everyones fuel pump? Mine seems VERY loud. Works fine though.

Roy.

No noise from mine, not that I've noticed over the exhaust note anyhow.
