Broken steering column adjuster

hi all,

new here so apologies if this has been done before - did a quick search but couldn't find anything.

i've managed to break/dislodge the steering column adjuster stalk on my mk 1 tuscan, it seems to have come loose and now hangs down uselessly without connecting to anything. is it easy to fix this myself or is it back to the dealers to get it sorted?
