Can't brun cd/dvd's

HELP!!
I need to burn some files to cd or dvd, I have both burners in my pc, I can put in music,data or any other disc into the drive and open it as normal, the only thing both wont let me do is burn, it says
'Window encountered a problem when trying to copy this file, what do you want windows to do?'
It makes no difference if it is music,data or pics nothing will burn!

XP-SP2's burning engine can be disabled by any number of things.

Does the problem exist with CD-Burner XP Pro? Or a demo copy of Nero? If not, I'd use those to get the job done and then investigate why XP-SP2's got it's knikkers in a knot when the stress is off.

I open My computer and drag and drop, I will try Nero, If I can find it, I know I have it!
