As per the title really. I like the noise the chim makes but coming from a lunatic V8S and extremely vocal 390se its' a bit quiet.

I don't have the coffers for a full stainless system yet, and it seems a waste to rip out a good exhaust system, so does anyone know who can supply me a set of cherry bombs or something similar. I can pop them on myself so it's only a case of buying them.

I feel the old girl needs to snort and shout a little more.....any ideas..

Any intake ideas as well?

Cherry Bomb conversion from the Offords?? About £150+ vat and worth every penny in my opinion.

I've been reading up on that, but would rather bolt them on myself, I need to find a supplier...

Buy a cheap mike and amp from maplins. Position the mike near your zorst. Wire the amp to your stereo speakers. You can have it as loud as you want without disturbing the neighbours. Total cost probably less than £15
Also has the added benefit of not needing extra silencing should you try a track day. Plus you can turn it down on long boring motorway journeys.

And remove the pre-cats too. The main cat alone is enough to get it through the MoT test.

Mine has a Zertec exhaust system and has had the precats taken out. It's pretty loud. See (very bad) attached videos for an idea of the noise. Pops and bangs lots too. BTW this was the first time the car had been started in about 6 months, she's waiting for me to lavesh some money on her!! Can't wait to have the Tiv back on the road!

Excuse that shabby quality! And the dirty Tiv!

Been there, done that, sounds phenomenal - clocked 110dB static at Combe earlier this year, and it was only just cranking up. Lots of pop and crackle to remind me of my old Cerb too.... cloud9

Reading this again,i think blackspider meant getting rid of the backbox, whereas Jeffsy had the box opened up,and the perforated pipe rplaced with solid, just to clarify

So Claire how did that happen?

Did you drive in and say to this bloke 'I want you to open up my box and put straight pipes in!'

No wonder you ended up with a new bloke.
