Excellent news. So they have decided that showing the cars running as well as static displays is a good idea! Wonders will never cease!
I will try and support them but, as always, it depends on the calender of the other championships.
Cheers,
Richard.

Sounds good. Back at a Track again instead of a Stately 'ome. Coinciding with a Track Day like the Brands ones would be excellent! The Mrs and I will no doubt be along...

Even though I enjoyed Eynsham (can't comment on Brands as couldn't make it) I like the idea of it
a, not being a bank holiday weekend
b, being a bit further North
c, having some racing instead of just static displays

I'll be there!

Yep.

But it should be even better as the Porsche Festival will be *part of* the bigger Silverstone Classic. Porsche will be the featured marque, and PCGB will probably have the main infield by the paddocks. The layout of Silverstone is better allowing the racing to surround the infield activities, rather than to the side of it as was at Brands.

Do we get to have a play on the track too or does the wider event rule that out?

Great - the weekend after the kids break up from school so should be nice and busy on the trip down!! Now just try and convince her in doors to go on holiday after the weekend and try and get back for the Old Timer GP 'Ring trip second week in August! Going to be busy

Sambaman, sounds like we should get to know each other! Thanks for your words about the car and driving but its not just me that should take the credit but the whole team. The car is fantastic - although hard to drive - and the driver is just plain old! I will be doing Britcar again on 2007 and some selected Porsche Open rounds. Come along and say hello, you and your other half will be very welcome.
Cheers,
Richard.

And your girlfriend might want to get some help and / or an eye test. Richard`s is the orange car, our`s is the grey one with orange strips and I favour it was drivers stepping from the latter with a whisp of perspiration glistening on their rugged jaw that bowled her over. Richard favours the agricultural engineer look and has yet to secure sponsorship from a major manufacturer of male grooming products
