I need to get this sorted then, any ideas where I should take it to be looked at? Don't fancy OPC so can anyone recommend a specialist near me, I'm in Essex.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Autostrasse at Coggleshall - 01376 562922. Independent just off the A12 between Chelmsford & Colchester.
I haven't taken mine there yet for servicing but they were recommended to me.
It is always hard to second guess a cause with such little information - but drawing on the experiences we have had to date - these symptoms do exactly fit a couple of other cars in which the cause was a cracked cylinder head.
Cracked liners tend to result in coolant in the oil not the other way around.
A crack in the head allows oil under greater pressure (while passing through the galleries to feed the camshaft bearings, tappets, oil pressure sender and cam chain tensioners/varioram system) to pass through the crack and into the engine coolant and squeeze out the coolant from the header tank as steam - leaving a brown sludge in the coolant.
If so it is not too expensive to repair and good used heads are available.
