Having moved up to Tamworth from Oxfordshire earlier in the year I'm wondering if any other PH'ers are in the area?

Well?

My mate Blingo (535d M Sport, remapped) lives in Tamworth. See him at the next Denby meeting.

I used to drive trains alongside Sutton Park.
What a dire line that was!

Used to work there.

Has some cracking roudabouts out in Amington. Cracking a and b roads out that way too.

I'm not sure there many PH'ers but there seems to be a big Saxo brigade.

I have fond memories of those roundabouts.... tried to drift a 350Z demo car round there just 5 mins after picking it up, after 3 attempts I reinstated the ESP and never tried it again.

Saxo brigade? I dont know what you mean........ now, where did I put my McDonalds Drive Thru vouchers ?

Tamworth guys, what's the name of the 'Water Park' i went to a couple of times in the 90s? I am sure it was somewhere near there.

Kingsbury Water Park ? I've never been as I've only lived up here since January but I believe its just a load of old gravel pits or open mines that have filled with water?

The 350Z was good but the dealer was a fool, the ECU light came on at random and the gearbox had to be replaced after 5000 miles - sold it to a guy in Lichfield wwho's kids had just left home and he was having a rather late mid-life crisis. I sold it to get something more practical and buy a nice kitchen - but I'm bored of the work horse Octavia now so I'm looking at getting a cheaper kitchen and a fun car again.

The noise of the Z was great but it just wasnt the car for me.

Though traffic from the A38 into Burton is ridiculous! Burton has serious congestion issues!

Tamworth to Burton via the "Ashby Road" Seems to be the place to go for a good thrashing of a suitable motor aroun dhere. Never did try it in the Z but from what I read and hear its a nice road.
