satellite navigation

I am looking to buy one for my girl for xmas,
my girlfriend is useless with traditional map, she would like a basic sat nav that tell her where to go.
(free speed camera database would be great)

Any good suggestion around £100? i saw a tesco Navman i think it called. is this ok?

I dont know nothing about satellite navigation.

General opinion seems to be that the TomTom and Gramin products are "the best" but they are quite a bit more than £100.

The differences being the ease of use, with some cheaper models being difficult to use.

Its worth taking a trip to Halfords (or similar) to try some out and see what you think.

Personally I have TomTom mobile that runs on my Nokia smart phone and cant fault it. A colleague has a Garmin which is very compact and just as good as the TomTom

I have a Garmin I3, paid 99 pounds, works v.well. Hasn't got the advanced features of the more expensive units, but navigation is good, free to download points of interest (restaurants, golf clubs etc) and speed cameras v. cheap and regularly updated @ pocketgpsworld.

I have TT6 on a PDA, but am getting an all-in-one for my mother this Xmas, looked at the i3, but decided to go for the TomTom One v2 after a bit of research.

Can pick them up for £180ish on t'internet.
