Hello everyone,

so I got the Cerb i've been promising myself for 10 years on Friday. Thrilled is not the word.

Spent a few hours driving - just taking in the experiance, you all know what I mean. Back out agian on saturday, just finding ANY reason to get on the road, and I've not been able to say that for a long time.

BUT gearchange got sticky on Saturday PM. AND then NO gears on Sunday...aaaaargh.

A searhc on pistonheads leads me to do some checks last night. Little black bits in the clutch fluid, bled it, pedal goes to the floor with no pressure and no gears = no fun.

That's that then. Car off to Leven's in a weeks time. Look like one of the cylinders has gone.

Disappointed? Obviously. Had always known that Cerb would be a "relationship". So the relationship has started with a wild Friday and Saturday but a cold and frosty Sunday coz she won't play anymore.

Also like to thank all those who contribute to this forum. I have been reading your posts with great interest over the years. So i knew what had happened, and armed with that knowledge I know what I am in for (hopefully).

You got further than i did, When i picked my car up the Master cylinder packed up 5miles down the road Chin up though it's been smiles ever since.

I had a full service and a lot of the niggles sorted, then 50 miles later the slave went I was gutted the car was off the road for a long time. Finally got it all sorted last week as the MOT needed doing then the Tax had it back a day and it now has a fuel leak but I love her

Sorry to hear about your woes Southendpier.

My Cerbie caught fire and has been written off after 8 fantastic weeks of driving. I'm now waiting for the insurance to pay out.

Consider getting yourself a fire extinguisher just in case.

Don't worry your car will be back on the road before you know it.

Mmmmm. This seems to be a common problem. I don't think any of us are considering our car's feelings. When I bought mine the clutch packed up within an hour - it seems they do not like changing owners!
