The horn sound is to tell you when it hasnt been locked properly - such as the boot not being shut or something..

have you checked the car througherly before heading to the OPC Ky in hand?

The central armrest/storage box (and glovebox too i think)is also linked to the alarm system - it often beeps on mine if it's not shut properly.

and when the hinge is broken on the armrest (996 common problem) it's easy to leave it unlocked so the beep is very useful
