I've been looking for a suitable replacement wheel for the Griff for some time now, not out of choice but a damaged rim and no supply left so no option. Well I ordered a set of Rondell Type 70's from a company called Autoban and they arrived 2 days later all the way from Germany, damned efficient those German's.
They are a 7 spoke design and the best way to describe them is a cross between the original Griff Estoril 7 spoke and the spider, although you may disagree. Only availabe in 17" and 7.5J with a 35 offset, okay for the back but probably need a spacer on the front. See what you guys think you can check them out on www.autobahn.uk.com/, the picture doesn't do them justice BTW. I think if interest is strong enough the manufacturer may be convinced to supply them with a 25 offset. Definetley worth a look though.

I'd be interested in seeing those puppies when fitted. I take it they will be available for viewing at a PH meeting sometime?

Yes, as soon as I get them on I'll (try to) post a pic, I'm sorting out tyres at the moment and waiting for a brake up grade to arrive so may be a few days. If this take longer than expected I could alway Email somes pic with the tyres fitted if you are interested, I am sure I can improve on the image used on the Autobahn website.
David.
