If you're buying or selling a car privately there's the problem of whether it's insured during a test drive for third party risks (legal requirement) and accidental damage (peace of mind).
I was just checking out what's available and these people quote £10.50 for a day's insurance on an everyday car rising to £21.50 on a Corvette. https://www.dayinsure.com You just type the registration number of the car and their quote comes back instantly.
If you're selling this is better than putting the potential buyer on your policy as a named driver for the day because if he/she does prang your car it won't affect your No Claims.
They won't insure a car worth over £40,000 so don't go thinking you can have a nice day out in a new Z06 for £21!
