AJP Thermal Inlet Gaskets

For those of you who have done some work on your engines, you will know that there are some sustantial gaskets that sit between the intake assembly and the head (4.2 anyway, not sure about 4.5). When I was rebuilding my engine I noticed that mine were cracking, delaminating and hence disintegrating due to the heat damage over the years, but at the time I couldn't source any replacements (TVR via TVR Power). However, I spoke with Mike at Ferriday Engineering and he agreed to produce them, and his first set came of the machine yesterday. The thread is simply to see if anyone else wants some, as a group purchase will be much cheaper as it means he can do a batch run. Exact price to be confirmed, but currently around £60 for a set I think, which will drop depending on numbers.

I got a set of these the other week from tvr through tvr car parts. Paid 30 odd quid each plus vat. Think they said (TVR) they only had one more set after mine! Take it someone got there before you did!

My old Capri engine was done by Mike at Ferriday Engineering. He turned it from a 2.8i 150bhp/ 150ft lbs, into a 198bhp/246ft lbs engine. Great work.

He also makes bespoke copper gaskets and has a 3d milling machine which just has to be seen to be believed. It was making Carb trumpets when I was there.

A nice bloke and his work is excellant.
