TVR specialist ACT is now producing its own range of wheels, along with a special introductory discount.

ACT is supplying them in two main ranges, the XT7 and Vortex-R for more modern, Speed Six-era cars, the Jordan-R for Griffs and Chimaeras.

XT7

The heat-treated XT7 wheel is aimed at Cerbera, Tuscan, Tamora, T350, and Sagaris owners. Describing it as "a very high quality genuine motorsport lightweight wheel", ACT suggested that it's especially suited for Cerbera owners who don't want to change the original look of the car too much.

  • Available for TVR five-stud applications
  • Both 17-inch and 18-inch versions available
  • Weight: approx 8Kg
  • Available in matt silver, white or bronze.
  • Supplied with new wheel nuts
  • TVR fitments exclusive to ACT
  • Introductory price for full set of 18-inch £995 (normally £285-£315 per corner)

Vortex R

  • Also suitable for TVR 5 stud applications as above.
  • Price for full set of 18-inch items: £610

Jordan R

  • Available in 17-inch & 18-inch versions
  • Price for full set 17x 7 fronts, 18x7.5 rear: £550

All wheels can be supplied with tyres if required, according to ACT, though you'll need to call for a quote. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

I'm never too sure about after-market wheels, but these look good and cheap.

Anybody out there a paintshop pro who can put these onto a Tuscan?

Thanks,
Richard.

8kg per corner is good. The standard spider alloys must be made of lead or something.

Do you suppose those prices are fitted? Just wondering what the real price differential is compared to the SP ones...

on the T350 i think the vortex-r looks good, much prefer them to the look of the silverstone wheels (sorry think they look kinda like halfords multispokes for a punto)

Thanks Matt!
Hmmm, not sure about the Vortex on the T350, maybe a bit too busy looking. Do like the deep rims on them though.

The XT7s look ok but too similar to the original spider alloys (which i think look great anyway). Don't see why someone would pay all that money unless they were going to look significantly different!

The Vortex Rs would look great on a Griffith - why not available Tim?

The Jordan's and the XT-7's both look great on the Chim IMHO. Gives the car a newer, more aggressive look. Would certainly consider them for my future investment into a Chim scratchchin
