Using 20pin ATX PSU and Motherboard /w 24pin socket
Discussion
As far as I'm aware it is quite safe to use a 20pin ATX PSU (in this case 430W) with a motherboard (socket AM2) which has a 24pin connector, either using the 20pins plugged into the pin compatable bit of the 24pin socket or using a 20 -24 pin adapter. This is in addition to the 4pin aux power connector that was introduced about the same time as the P4.
So can anyone confirm or refute this?
