Maser 3200 or Fezza 456

Thinking about either one as a second car, what do people think ??

Been a few recent posts about the pro's & cons of 456 ownership. Have a look in the archives.

Fingers crossed both have reached the bottom of the depreciation curve.
I know the 456 will be higher maintenance cost but probably the best looking front engined car of recent years. I have often considered selling mine for a 456 (again) but I just cant bring myself to part with it. The 456 is a stunning car but if something serious goes wrong expect a bill double that of a 3200 (and parts aren't cheap for those!).
It's only a decision you can make ultimately, however I've had both, and I've still got the 3200 after 5+ years of ownership.

Whichever you chose DO YOUR RESEARCH! the wrong one of either could be a money pit so buy the best you can afford and you wont end up with false economies.

I wouldnt be so sure! I looked into both and came to that conclusion, but in hindsight I am not sure that is the case. Purchase price is where you will see the main difference.

I owned both side by side for 2 years, take my word for it a 456 has higher maintenance costs!

I was told a 3200GT would cost as much to service as a 355. And they are more unreliable. How much has your cost each year, anything gone wrong with it? They seem good value now.

Obviously depends on the mileage, but £2k PA should keep you OK.

Someone told you rubbish. 3200 will be cheaper to run - if it's a decent one.

There are a lot of poorly serviced cheap 3200's out there now - and they will break your bank and your heart. Buy one thats been owned by an enthusiast and you won't go far wrong.
