Performance of Brera diesel compared to 156 2.4 jtd (175bhp)

Can anyone comment on the difference? Are they much the sameness in terms of performance and engine noise? Thinking of trading my 156 in.

there was a review in Auto Italia a few months back, from what I remember they went for the petrol as it was lighter and more responsive

Suspect not much in it in a straight line to be honest.
Brera chassis and brakes much better though across country.

See if you can borrow one for some back to back testing.
