Hi guys, how suited or unsuited would a Ultima be to life in Dubai? May be moving out there for a year or 2 and would be ideal opportunity to build that car I've always wanted. Would the cooling system/air con be up to life in a hot climate? Do Ultima supply a Gulf pack?

Thanks in advance

You'll need to check the laws over there and see if they allow locally assembled vehicles. I guess you would have to "know someone who knows someone" in order to get one in - just the same as anything else you want to do over there.

Also..... I think if you were going to drive an Ultima in the middle East you would not want a normally aspirated one, you'd have to go for a Turban-charged one.... with gulf clubs

Gulf colours..........Mclaren GTR '94 Le Mans, now THATS what I am talking about, question is, our Arab friends may well be blessed with a madness of the March hare variety (on average) but could they handle it?

My Motec man has worked in the UEA allot and he may have an idea of how things of this nature are likely to go down, I will ask him and report back.

HI,

I'm from UAE and I developed a very high interest in This car for the past years. I'm planning to build a can-am. Belive it or not we have a very good 6 months a year were the weather is great for a convertable. the other six will be like hell if you don't have a decent cooling for both your engine and your self.

anyway, I'm offering my help in any way I can. Since I'm a local I think I can help you in many ways.

I sent you my conact details over the email.

regards,
Osama Al-Ali
