Hi All

I need to buy a new set of rear tyres for my wonderful Sagaris.

The current tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 255 35 ZR18's which i assume are the standard tyres that they come with from new.

Does anyone recommend any other brand that they have fitted which they think are better than the ones it already has? I ask this because if these are the original tyres that TVR supply the Sagaris with i assume they supply them with these because these were the tyres that the Sagaris was developed and original setup for.

If you do recommend other brands could you also let me know the reason why. Is it because of additional grip, longer life span, cost or a combination of reasons.

Thanks in advance.

The Goodyear Eagles are first class. They should have given you 12000 miles plus wear, excellent dry grip and very good in wet weather.

I would recommend you stay with the same.

Agreed, stick with the Goodyears.

Only other options are if you're into lots of track days when a few other options are open, but for day to day driving the Goodyears are unbeatable on these cars.

Done 10,000 miles currently and still have plenty of tread on them. The only reason i am considering replacing is because of a slow puncture in the offside rear.

17000 miles on mine and still excellent tread.

Why would anybody want any other tyres than Eagle F1's, unless for track? They are quite simply the best all round type available by a country mile. Ive run them on Mx5s, Mg Tf's and now the Sagaris and they are damn nr perfect.

You should get 20000 miles out of a set if you arent a lunatic.

Agreed. F1's did very well at the Nurburgring, R888's good fun too - but dry/damp only, not wet.
