after returning home in torrential rain ,wipers working fine, drove out today to find intermit wipe only.no constant at any speed,no wash/wipe just intermit.lifted wiper motor everything underneath is wet through, sprayed wd 40 will try again tomorrow.can someone tell me how the park switch unclips and does everything work through it ie.washer motor.i dont want to force the clip and do any damage.also how does the motor come off should it just pull out once the brass nut and clamp are undone?

Wiper Park Switch Replacement. It's a dead easy job.

The switch is held on by a clip, it should just slide on/off:

You don't need to remove the motor to change the switch.
Undo the 2 nuts that hold the pressed steel bracket in place then turn the motor
over to get at the switch.

Do the wipers stop in the correct position on the n/s of the screen when they stop?
If they do it probably isn't the park switch.
If they stop randomly anywhere on the screen then it sounds like the switch.
It could also be the relay that the park switch controls that has gone faulty
which is mounted in the fuse box area from memeory.

If and when you have changed the switch, make sure you seal the switch with grease or sealant
and also the 2 nuts on the inner wing otherwise you may end up with a passenger foot well full
of water.
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers
Paul

If your wipers only work on intermiitent/ park these are supplied from a different fuse to the normal running supply. I suggest you check the fuse box for bad connection / blown fuse.

changed the park switch today, made no difference.checked relay /fuses all ok,but still only intermit/wipe which parks perfectly with old and new switches, stripped steering column and removed stalk but everything seems ok,could three modes go on the stalk all at once?ive read somewhere on here about a faulty batch of park switches, are these still about?think il try another one easiest option at the moment

Surely it would be easier to check for 12v & ground at the motor multi connector to ascertain if your problem is in the car wiring or the park switch/motor components.... rather than stripping the dash. You can also check the circuits behind the fuse box - but this may not be for the faint-hearted..
