Looking for a basic (read cheap!) EPOS system.

Two checkouts, would like tills with barcode scanning on checkout and the ability get sales data out for analysis (export to CSV would be great for spreadsheet)

Casio TE-2200 seems to do the trick. Does anyone know of any alternitives.

Cost really is a major consideration here unfortunatly.

How are such systems programmed? Is it a case of scanning each item and putting the data in or are there CD's available with the barcodes vs data?

heyh, don't know if this interests you but i have three casio EPOS tills which i replaced from my chip shop. They were pretty top of the line a couple of years ago, and i am pretty sure they are bar code capable. They are just sitting around at the moment and so i would be willing to let them go for not much money. Your costs would be an additional til printer or two (as i only ever used one) some reprogramming and a couple of barcode scanners.

if you want i can get you some pictures and the machine details tomorrow- would probably be the cheapest way of getting EPOS tills that i know of.

Hope this helps
