Guys, need to get a quote for a RUF and have only tried A Plan at the moment butey have come back with a £9000 quote! Apparently difficult to get quotes for what is seen as a parallel import or car is too expensive! Any help really appreciated.

Just tried Peart who told me that they haven't heard of a RUF and when trying to explain that it is a bit like a modified Porsche was told that they don't cover them! This inspite of the information on their website about non standard insurance meaning modified cars! Anyway, waiting for a quote from Michael Ward hopefully with good news. At least they are willing to try! So will the last resort be to tell them that it is modified and risk the insurance company not paying out if i have to make a claim???

Cho

ps. Ne(r)vous, don't have a number for the people you mentioned. Do you have a number i can call? Cheers!

Did you make that up on the spot, or was it one you prepared earlier?

I didn't get it. Thought nothing of it, then days later when trying to get my mum to look after my kids the cogs connected. Funniest thing I've seen on here, you should get some t-shirts done.

Something's wrong here. Just googled it and there's some bloke called Bluey insisting it's his gag and you borrowed it!

the idea that bluey has ever said anything funny, ever, that doesnt involve spoonerism, is funnier than anything ive ever heard. hes just not funny. and if he has ever made anyone laugh its purely because hes stolen a joke from me.

short, too.

Smurfs aside..a small update! Speaking to Privilege at the moment and srprisingly they have RUF listed on their database. Looks like it only goes as far as the RTurbo but i'm sure they will update. Just don't know how much they will quote. Strange thing is that they can't insure over £100,000 and they have RUF's on the database which slightly defeats the purpose!
