On the way in to work the Chim must have realised it had not set me any challenges recently.

I coasted to the side of the road, turned the ignition key and no whirr of the fuel pump.

Checked relays, checked all the fuses in the fuse box, inertia switch and then noticed the two loose fuses on the leads with the relays...one of these had blown...replaced with paper clip and off we went...

These little test are all part of the fun of chim ownership!!!
On a serious note
Has anyone thought of relocating the fuse box and ecu to the cubby holes behind the seats?
Can anyone think why this would be a bad idea?

That would be a brilliant modification! I hope someone responds to offer this service, as I'd have it done!

I am thinking of doing it this weekend...just trying to think of any implications.

My plan is to move the fuse box to one cubby hole...the ecu to the other and then maybe move the battery to the boot and re-route the heater pipes so it doesnt cook in summer

Batt in the boot mod has been done by the Griffith boys so sould not be a problem. Re routing the heater pipework may be a pain. I was going to have a go at insulating them using foam pipe sleeves. Anyone tried it?

Yes, this has been done before; I think the "Chimaera Pages" has an article about it.

It's something I intend to do when I have a little spare time (and some foam)
