Has anybody on here found the need to replace/repair the wiper motor torestore the delay function?I have renewed the park switch anyway,as it was seriously corroded, replaced the corroded terminals from the loom with new ones, the relay works fine on another griff,so does the column stalk control. The delay rheostat also checks out fine!It seems the only thing left is the motor itself, unless theres a break in the wiring somewhere.
Any experiences greatly appreciated,cheers,Mike

Well...I had a similar issue. Changed the park switch, but it didnt fix the problem. Mentioned this to my garage, they said that there was a dodgy batch of park switches around a while ago, gave me a replacement, and it worked...

So I have no idea if that will fix it, but you may want to try another switch before obtaining a new motor or anything.

Maybe borrow one from a TVR-owning mate?

Use to have a similar problem on the E30 BMW's,and I think the fix was to take the motor apart and clean off all the cruddy grease that had accumalated inside.Might be further details on www.e30zone.co.uk

IIRC the delay relay just pulses the wiper motor & the park mechanism does the sweep. You should be able to check at the motor plug if this pulse is being generated. Dave
