Laptop freezes

Help,

Just replaced 11mbps wirelees card with 54mbps card, and now my laptop keeps freezing. Halfway through downloading a web page it stops, the mouse and keyboard do not work, and the machine stays like tha until remove all power.

Any ideas why, and what i can do to solve.

bit of an obvious one, but prob driver issues/incompatibility. you'll need to google the h/w your using and see what comes up.
could try reinstalling the h/w, s/w, or find a different/newer version of the driver.

Once you've checked out the drivers I'd have a look at the hardware, specifically the RAM.

Appreciate the help. I have called the comp shop who sold me the card. They have removed the 3com software, installed XP servicepack 2, and believe it will now be ok.

Time will tell!
