Has anyone got any advice on software to use if I want to tranfer a song from my Mac to my mobile phone so I can then use it as a ringtone ? I have tried with Itunes but am having no luck. It just says the file is unsupported ?!!

Does the X820 support AAC or only MP3's?
If both, but the song "unsupported" is AAC, then it may be down to the DRM.
Any AAC's from a CD you imported should be fine then.

I did it straight to the memory card in a reader. Made sure it went into the correct folder.

The only wy I can transfer the files is by bluetooth. However it is quite strange as when I transfer an MP3 song to the correct folder and then play the song it just comes out as a loud "1 tone" noise ! Now the confusing thing is that when I play an mp3 song file that I have had sent to me by another phone, it works perfectly ?? confused

Are you connecting the phone via Bluetooth? Think it only works if you can connect the phone via a usb cable.

Magic,

Yes I am connecting the phone via bluetooth. IT is my only option. I don't think that they (Samsung) provide a USB cable to connect the phone to the MAC. I will have a look for some accessories but I cn't remeber ever seeing a USB cable for the Samsung SGH-X820.

Regards,

Louis
