road gritter

Great sunny day so i washed the car took the roof off and went for a country spin, i was half way down a nice long straight when a gritter coming the otherway bombards me with grit i mean what the hell are they doing gritting a road on a day like this!!

Happened to me last Sunday on the M27. Just cleaned the car as well, and I thought they were supposed to use grit not blo*dy great rocks.

Call me Mr Cynical, but weather forcast may have mentioned possibility of frost..future budgets may depend on current usage...plus weekend O/T rates for operatives!
