help please gents

when I start my Asseto - even after waiting for all the likghts to go out, so as not to 'hot start' it - the orange engine light stays on...havent used the car since but was wondering why it might have come on. The car hasnt been used in the last 3 weeks apart from a 20 mile trip.

Appreciate the help...do i need a service? It had its annual 8 moths ago

UPDATE - light has now gone off - i did top up the oil

It's probably doing what they all do: throwing a hissy fit for no apparent reason.
A problem cured by adding more oil would - I'd expect - manifest itself in the form of a low oil pressure warning light followed shortly by an expensive-sounding grinding noise and silence immediately after.

Did anything else happen? Was there a drop in performance? Did the car cut out, or revert to "limp home" mode?

no limp home mode...just topped up the oil....left it for an hour back to the garage and it started and no more orange engine light!
