Quadriga, it was made during 1989-1991, in Blackpool and it was a 308 GTB copy, doner car was Lancia Beta, I think only about 6 were sold before it went t*ts up.

The car was in the 1989 Kit Car magazine (think thats the one)that was what made me buy one!!

So, I guess thats a 'no' then, ah well never mind, hope todays kits are easier to build than that one was, didn't even get a build manual, many parts required fabricating etc!

didn't know it, but just did some searching on it - appears it was... erm... slightly less than successful as a business venture!!!

Got any pics of the one you built?

I remember that. Seem to remember it was also produced in Morecambe at one time around the mid-eighties using Mk3 Escort bits.

We (Which Kit Car? magazine) did a story on a reader's Quadriga back in the summer. It took the guy 12 years to build, which backs up your claim that they're not easy to build. It's the only one I've (knowingly) seen, and was pretty well put together.

Adam.

Took me 3+ years, had to guess where to put the fuel tanks/what size, complete new gear linkage from gearbox to gearlever (another builder did a round trip of 480 miles to look at how I had fabricated it) clutch, brakes, steering rack, cooling system, electric window motors and all fittings + all other parts required a complete (educated) guess.
The scrapyards around here were sick of seeing me taking items back to swap!!!

Must admit, I did feel proud after I finished it

The company was (as I now remember) called P.A.C.E

Got £9000 for it in 1994.

I think that was after P.A.C.E had sold the kit on, the origional doner was Lancia Beta.

No, I kept them for a few years and then binned them!

Wasn't there a 308 GTS replica kit based on the Mk1 Toyota MR2. The Italia or something like that? Anyone know what happened to that kit?
