Never leave home without elastic bands I say.

Kept it quite still.

I'm gutted I didn't get in any shots.

Hey Bondy - that camera set up looks good. What do you use and what does it entail? I didn't get time to chat to you about it on Sunday due to the weather.

If your talking about the bullet cam you have a couple of good options.

The neatest is to buy a Archos Av500 (www.archos.com/)and buy there bullet cam as an option. Records at quite a good resolution.

I went the cheaper option and got a camera off ebay (must have AV in capability and then brought a bullet cam (i got the 520 line one as it was the best, but I think a 480 would do) from www.dogcamsport.co.uk/products.htm

They also have a list of possible cameras to use.

I use a Sony GR-DX77.

I often borrow my mates carmera (same size as mine) and using elestic bands secure it on top of the interia light. locks on there quite solidly.

Has given me front and rear footage on training days.

I'm no expert I was just playing. I wanted a harddrive camera but I tried one and it would cut out under breaking due to sensors it has to protect the disk. So mini dv was the way to go.

Nice one Humpy,

I believe that is me in front of you for most of the footage! Sorry for causing all that spray, LOL. Well at least at that point it wasn't my coolant spraying everywhere.

I have about 30 minutes of footage to edit. As soon as this is done I will post it. It even has the moment that I do a James Bond Lotus style dive into the flooded road.

It was good to meet you mate.

I did a quick edit to get something posted. I have a bit more and will post if it's any good - Nobles having a gentle drive in hammering rain probably isn't

One of the best hoons was following Tonyf on a bit of dual carriageway to then discover that I hadn't turned the camera on banghead

Hope you get the car sorted soon mate.

Martin - good to meet you and thanks for the help with the lacky bands - worked a treat

I reckon velcro on the shelf may be the way forward as the position seems to work pretty well

Easy trip home wasn't it - M25 was fine. Dropped into the Ace on the way home too.

Good to meet you to Paul, not sure velcro would be a good idea as you have to attach it to the shelf which will probably have to be glued and then when the velcro get week (don't think it will hold the camera on a track) you will have to rip it off.

I got the bullet cam mainly for inside the car, it comes with a litle stand that I was going to stick to the rear window and you can remove the cam from it when leaving or attaching to the outside.

Without sounding stupid whats the "Ace".

Yes, it's where VBH and her useless sidekick present the current run of 5th Gear! They present at a table inside and also do stunts in the (emptied) car-park.

I'm 10 mins up the road near Burnham Beeches. Often pop into Uxbridge on Fridays for a swift sherbert on way home with some fellow petrolheads. A group of us do runs to the Ace if there's anything interesting on.

Yeah, UK TV G2 show TG every night and it was on fairly recently. Good one that...bandit

They also had the one where the Ford GT beat the M400 (just) after Stig nearly had it heading for the grass at the 2nd from last corner. weeping
