Alternator Belt - Pre cat

Anyone know the part no of the best belt to put of a 4.3 Griff ?

Cant remember the part number off the top of my head but if you ask for a belt of an 85 sd1 v8 vitesse that is the one you want

I had a real game matching the one on the V8S, found several that looked similar to the untrained eye but wouldn't stay on, eventually got one that was an exact match. Actually, I got two, and it was so long ago I've forgotten what the donor was but it was something wierd and quite mundane, not Land Rover or Ford.

HB1100a was too long for my 4.3, 1075a was the match for previous belt - and didnt force the alternator to be grilled on the manifold....

There are so many variations that unless you can get the code number off the actual belt I would measure it. Alternatively take the car to your local factor and ask for one of those. There have been about 50 different belts used on the preserp Rover V8 over the years and it is very easy to get wrong.

When you do fnd it, get two and keep the spare in the boot.

The 1100 and 1075 refers to the length, i.e. 1100mm and 1075mm. The HB1100a is perfect for my 4.3 - measure yours and get the right length for your car. As Shpub says buy two - they're not expensive.

Recently fitted a new one.
The manufacturer is Quinton Hazell, part number is QBA1113.

Thanks for the help. Can't check the one that was there cos it's on the A13 where I lost it one the way back from LT. Managed to get home with a spare I had - which definately is not the right one.
