Anyone know how this works and if I can find a deleted folder using it?

I suppose if you restore to a time before you deleted the folder it may still be there?
Not sure whether that works with folders sure it does with other applictaions
And if it doesnt you can restore back to where you were originally, hope that makes sense.

IIRC it only restores operating systems, not deleted info.

Drivers, registry settings, profile information and the like. I think some apps can be burried in it but they aren't supposed to be...

It can also restore viruses !

You have to be careful. If you clean your system and remove a virus and then perform a restore that pre-dates the removal.

....hope that makes sense

Don't bother with using system restore to try and get back a folder I'm afraid it just won't work...However there are several programs out there that will scan and recover deleted files. scratchchin I just can't think of the one I normally recommend it was shown to me by Bliarsgoing. You could always do a search through the freeware sticky.
