Have they made any acknowledgement to all the support at Blackpool and London. Terrible PR
if they haven't, but not surprising.

Maybe the gentlemen of the press ought to ask them for a comment...? Seems a shame to let our friends' shyness ruin a golden opportunity

Bearing in mind that this tear TVR have changed their PR people more often than some people change their socks - I guess the current management are a bit confused about what to say - If they want to give me a ring I'll help them with a form of words......

Considering Sunday was a bit of a rolling 2 finger salute at the management, i'd be very interested to hear what the they have to say on the matter without generating more negetive PR for themselves.

On a positive note, my biggest hope is that they are sitting back and having a good think..

Yellow Peril did state that the new PR people for TVR are those used by Marks & Spencer, so may be they're too busy promoting knickers.

Wouldn't that be great!!clap I'm sure there must be behind the scenes stuff going.

If their PR advisers are up to it think of the opportunity that we all just created for them to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and use LT2006 as a springboard to re-launch the People's TVR (back by popular demand) - a mid-range lightweight, v8 2-seater sports car exclusively manufactured in Britain, alongside elite, top-end TVR-engined models styled and manufactured in e.g. Italy (or wherever) and targeting international markets. They could fill the order book with the People's TVR and use this to leverage further investment to bring the elite models to fruition.

Well TVR's recent PR has been a bit pants...

Yes, that is my coat. I'll collect it on my way out.

Of course they are; the plain fact of this whole sorry matter is that you're dealing with people promoted beyond the level of their competence and, unfortunately, until that issue is addressed, confusion will continue to reign supreme.

That much has been obvious for some time. But I don't see what reaction people expect from TVR to a rally that was in opposition to TVR policy? I would have thought that their strategy would be to say nothing and hope everyone forgets?

May I suggest reading the TVR Press Release of 17 November on the TVR web site?

Issued a week before LT but after the LT organisation had begun.

Either they listened and have had a rethink on their press release of 18 October (to which LT was a reaction) or - given its verbosity - it's an attempt to make LT look like an over-reaction.

I posted a thread the other night about this.. Looked like a very subtle change from the 18th October one and yes i agree it looks like an attempt to make L/T seem OTT.

Here's what a TVR Press release should say

" All of us at TVR Engineering were impressed by the show of loyalty and support for the marque evidenced by TVR Thunder last Sunday. We are very impressed by the depth of sentiment displayed which shows just how much TVR owners care not just about their cars, but also the way in which they are built. We have not taken the decisions to move part of the manufacturing effort lightly, but we would like to reassure TVR owners worldwide that the design and development of future models will remain in Britain, as will the Head Office, drive train build and many other parts of th eoverall package. Whilst some elements of manufacture are being outsourced we are keen not to lose our heritage as the finest British based producer of great value sports cars."

That wasn't too difficult for me - took less than five minutes and silence does seem a bit like over 400 pokes in over 400 eyes with over 400 sharp sticks!
