Anyone with a Sag in Italy, or TVR specialists??

Hello PHs,

New to the forum and site and have been looking for a site like PH for awhile. In Italy there is nothing similar.

Anyway my query is about buying a Sag .... I fell in love with it the first time I laid my eyes on it back in 2005, but with what I have been reading about TVR and the Sag or SP6 motor, I am in two minds to buy one in RHD (was not designed for LHD) from the UK and import it to Italy.

Buy it is one thing, but servicing it in Italy ..... arghh .. not a clue, so can anyone lead me to TVR heaven?

Thanks for the reply NCE61, but UK Garage are asking big money for a Sag, around 95000EUR. Are you based in Italy?

No not based in Italy see profile. At that price it's possibly best to buy from UK & use them for service.

Orient that sounds like the right price for a new Sagaris in Euros. What were you expecting?

In euros in ireland the 07 spec sagaris comes in at a whopping 120,000 euros! The cheapest i managed to price it to in Ireland is 102,000euros but thats making a huge bargain on a new sagaris. So i think your getting a good deal there unless you are going to get a second hand sagaris instead!

Hi,

I had a T350 over here in Fruili, but decided to sell as UK garage was 400km from me. If you live closer to UK garage it should not be any problem.

I am also around 400km from UK Garage, based in Toscana. Could you describe your experience with UK Garage in terms of service. Thanks, Steve

I will probably buy a used Sag from the UK (Racing Green) and import it, given the cost. The biggest question mark is the maintenance and service. If UK Garage are good, then it there is no problem, the Sag will be my play thing, so I can tow it up to Milan.

Hi,

To be honest, I ended up driving back to the uk for each service as it was easier!!!!! ( and the drive through Germany was enjoyable )

I think if you search through the forums there are some people who have used them and said the service was v good. I think one of the owners posts on this site under the name elisek.

Thanks that is useful information. In fact, I would like to drive back to UK for maintenance issues, but it is not that practical given I travel a lot for business.

Yes, elisek, is the I think is a partner or owner of UK Garage and they are now I believe the official TVR distributor and dealer. UK Garage has also its own forum website. In the near future I hope to plan a visit to their new site just north of Milan.
