A suggestion is to use www.pando.com to do it.... the advantages:

. Size limit of 1.4gb
. Multiple files can be packaged
. Receivers download from eachother, the server and sender for fast transfers using p2p
. Resuming on send and receive
. RSS/Blog function - someone technical can set a web page and u can d/l all automatically
. its free
. Files stay out of your inbox and avoids crashing the mail server
. You can forward your package links (or post them here on PH)
. no spyware

I've used it a lot for sending 1gb files to colleagues and it is fantastic!
