I've had some work done on my Boxster today and I was also told that the drive shaft gator had split and has been replaced, being a turn key I have no idea what this is but it sounds expensive to me.
Can anyone shed any light on what a drive shaft gator is?
Cheers

IIRC, its a bit of conceritna'd rubber which stop loads of dirt & crap getting into the greased drive uni-joint - though I could be completely wrong!! They eventually split. You will be charged for a new gator, grease and about an hour labour I reckon.
