Not sure if this would be to tacky or not.

Got a Grigio Titanio Sagaris which is Metallic Grey to most people and was wondering if a set of Black stripes up the bonnet and across the roof like a dodge viper would look tacky or good.

Can't find any other photos of a Sagaris with this already done but i am sure there must be one out there. Alternativly if there are any photoshop wizards out there with time to spare it would be good to see what it would look like in the flesh.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Dunno. Hmmm. Might work - there was a T350 with stripes that looked OK, thread somewhere here - use the search function.

Here's the t350:

I also saw a blue sagaris i think in the london thunder pictures. But i have no idea where in the hundreds i saw. I think it was only half the car done, but it may give you an idea of it none the less.

Feel free to pass your comments you won't offend. Not completely sure myself. I am not sure the Sag needs the stripes to look any better. As one admirer of the car said to me "XXXK ME MATE, IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S DOING 100MPH WHEN IT'S PARKED UP".

Although i have to admit i quite like the blue 350 with the stripes on one side. I wouldn't mind seeing it from some other angles.

IMO on a silver car you are best with dark metallic grey stripes not black - they also need to be much wider and closer together.

IMHO Black or v dark grey on Grigio Titanio (FFS Gerbil rolleyes ) would be a good looking, low key combination.

The Sagaris is a genuinely racy looking car and can carry off Viper stripe with aplomb. NS has/had a Marlboro Red Sagaris R/T with a single yellow stripe and it looked the "danglies".

I would say get the stripes a little wider that the ones on the Silver T350 shown above (250mm to 300mmm maybe), and have the gap between less than the width of the indiviual stripes (ie. 1:1.618... might be a good place to start ).

Most importantly get a the livery mocked up in photoshop or something from every angle before you commit paint to the car just in case you don't like it...

...it is your car and you have nothing to prove!

Enjoy your Sagaris!

Hey Mark,

Nothing worng with the stripes at all, hence the IMHO bit

Liveries are a personal taste thing, so it's important to be sure you like what you're going to get before you take the plunge.

BTW Fantastic to see the Tesco getting a good work out. smokin

infront of my face...

i think the two stripes on the roof of the blue sag pictured above looks good 'off centre' and YI8TVR's look good on the T350 with the extra lines aswell as the thick ones.

not so good with the other colours im afraid.

as long as the colours work together im sure it'll be a winner on your sag. all down to personal preferances.

I think they work on certain colours - like a silver or blue car. Not sure about red/orange or other colours though - looks like you're trying too hard (trying what I'm not sure).

This pic from the day. Don't have any others of the stripe! Didn't fit it all over as the bonnet was a nightmare!
