Having just purchased my first TVR (chimaera) and having had the delight of driving it all the way home, I realised that they had failed to mention the tax disc was already 2 months out of date.. Yes, that is right, I had test driven it and driven the car home without a word to say that the car was illegal to drive on the roads.

Therefore, the car is having to sit in the garage at home for as long as it takes to get my insurance details from my insurance company. I think frustrated is the least of my feelings being unable to drive and enjoy the delights of my new car tonight and the next couple of days.
Ok, rant over. What a wonderful car to drive and stunning to look at - just a shame about the service.

I have edited the title to this thread to bring in line with our NO naming and shaming policy.

I think you may have overlooked this in the Rules of Posting when you signed up to the web site. Please re-read Note 2 para iv

It states:-

That specifically names companies in relation to accusations of malpractice, fraud or other criminal or civil offences!

I hope that makes the rule a little clearer.

hehe

WazzaL have you tried calling them ? prehaps they have renewed it and had forgot to put it in the car. Normally when buying from a dealer though they need to have your insurance details beforehand to go and get the tax.
Another good point is they mustnt have had the car that long either if its just 2 months out of date so shouldnt have been standing about too much.

I now the dealer in question and Can vouch that they normally have a very good record but as allways we all have bad days at work

Is it me or does anyone else thing it's pretty bad form to come on to a forum and in your very first post do a name and shame..

Or perhaps it's a cleaver dickie who would rather do a name and shame under a sudoname .. ooohh

That's novel and never been done before.

I'll get me coat
