New car waiting lists

We had a thread a few weeks ago about the waiting lists for the new RS Focus. I had placed an order then gave up on the wait. I then looked a the new Subaru WRX and the Mondeo ST 220. I then test drove both cars and thought that the WRX was not anything like as good as I had hoped. On the other hand the ST220 was bloody great. As an all round package it absolutely killed the Subaru! I was about to place my order for an ST220 in met blue, then I decided to look in at the Derby Jaguar dealership as they had the prototype "F" type in the showroom, just dreaming you understand - what a fantastic beast - I was told that they could yet put this into production with a starting price of approx. £35,000!! They are after the Boxter market - I mentioned the high price of the new TVR's and I was informed that they could look at taking some of this market too.
Anyway, you have guessed it, I bloody well bought an X type instead. The whole deal took TWO WEEKS from order to delivery, now that's what I call service. It's got leather and all the bits on and is in Jaguar Racing Green - nearly identical colour to my Chimaera. Picked it up yesterday and I just love the thing - who nicked my slippers and pipe??

Sounds nice SPS, you better post a pic so we can drool - well me dad can anyway ...

More competition in the £35k+ sports car market can only help to drive everyone's QC up which is naturally good for purchasers of whatever marque is chosen.

I'd still have a TVR though as I'm a longway short of 50
