Hi there,

Looking for some information on the above as a potential second hand purchase. Will be looking at a poverty spec model. x-flow or pinto engine, 4 or 5 speed box.

Always quite like the looks and the fact that they are tiny cars, even when compared to westfields.

Thanks and all the best.

Martin.

They're excellent little cars. I've got a Crossflow engined Sylva Phoenix (basically the race orientated version of the Striker, with a streamlined bodyshell) and I rate it above the Crossflow engined Caterham and Westfield that I'd owned previously.

Mine may be going up for sale soon (lack of use ), so if you're in the market for a reasonably cheap one with a fairly fierce Crossflow under the bonnet, give me a shout!

edited to add...forgot to ask, what sort of information are you after, specifically?

Mac Allardyce who runs the Sylva owners club normally knows where a cheap Striker is, he normally has one kicking around himself for sale. Seek him out on the groups.google.co.uk/group/Sylva-Chat site. Its probobly your best bet.

Yeah, go for the Phoenix version if you can, faster at high speed than a striker and flippin' gorgous!

MG

Not sure what price you consider to be poverty spec, but I have a K Series engined Striker which I am considering parting with.

If interested email me

Buy one rebuild it and ditch a 4age 20V engine in it.
indeed a lot smaller and lighter than the other 7ens.

my car is as said Iron blocked so no fancy alloy engine or anything and still the thing weighs 498kilograms with a halfish tank.
and it does 0-60 in 4.9seconds with 121@7800rpm RW-hp it tops out in fourth at 198km/h but then there still is fifth hmmmmm scarry?
