I 'think' the Ti model is the more sporty version (ie sills,spoiler,trim).

It's been used by Alfa since the 1950s to indicate a model of more sporty intentions.
See Giulia Super, Alfasud, 146, and more recently trim packs on 147, 156 and 166.
Ti versions of the 166 were only available on the facelift 166 and look absolutely stunning. Not many about, especially not in V6 manual form!! Fantastic car.
