alarm / imobiliser not responding

please help!!!!

i returned to my mk1 lotus elise 111s today and discovered that i had been a tt and left the lights on............ surprise i killed the battery.

i knew it was getting near time to buy a new battery but tried everything to get the little bugger started - i failed!

i went and purchased a new battery and installed as per instructions, there is now plenty of battery power, but i can not get the alarm or imobiliser to switch off........ i have tried using both the key fob (battery still working in that also) and the stick push imobiliser thingy.

it's the Cobra alarm / imobiliser set up.

Has any one experienced this before???? is it gonna be expensive?

any help would be great! I'm just waiting for the AA whom i assume will recover it to the garage ahhhhhhhhh!

Have you tried the immobiliser with the ignition turned on?
Do you have your original install instructions as there may be a release code you need to input.

thanks steve, just got back from the AA man and he's fixed it.

He cleaned all my terminals up, still didn't work. Then he took my key fob apart and cleaned the guts of that - bingo!!!! very odd though, as it was working perfectly before the flat battery. The imobiliser stick still is not working tho??

but at least is drivable!!!
