Hi to all. Could someone please give me some idea of modifications avaiable for the Boxster 2.7 to increase BHP? i.e. exhaust, air filter, any tried and tested remapping providers perhaps

Many thanks

Bang a 996 GT3 engine in it. Now that would be fun...you could go chasing turbos with that...

You can choose to loose the money you invest into upgrading your car somewhat or to loose money from trading in for an S. If you do the deal with the S, at least you KNOW that the thing will perform better...

Yep - just upgrade...

You'll never get your money back on mods, and if anything, it will restrict your potential market when you come to sell...

From a financial, and sensible point of view - you want a faster boxster, buy a faster boxster...

The only exception would be a Ruf conversion, but then i don't think the car would be worth what it cost

If you really want to go mad see what's been done to this one:

GT3 front end and brakes plus a Ninemeister supplied supercharger that's currently putting out 325 Bhp. He decided that even a 3.2S was not providing enough oomph!

I'd agree with the car upgrade posts. You'll not get anything useful from a remap. Not on a N/A engine. Theres been a lot of discussion on how to power hike boxsters with the general consensus being that it's a lot of bucks for not much bang.

Get a 3.2 S

Yes i agree with the above too get a bigger engined car 3.2 being the biggest avaialbe in that model....re-mapping is good on turbo charged cars but you pay an awful lot of money to re-map a normally aspirated car and no big gains....25bhp.....you get that from a tubi exhaust and panel filter on a TT.....
