For making the noise? or did he take a lot of attempts to get a couple of decent drifts? ie he fluked them?

Interesting, but I would have expected a bit more from an E30 with LSD - seeing as they are supposed to be the danglies at that sort of thing...

I'm sure I can get something like that going, having spent the best part of my trackday yesterday sliding in a rather exhorbant fashion. The instructors were entertained to say the least, and the EVO driving guy was impressed thumbup

I didn't realise it was so easy hehe I like it wet hehe

Steve, your on - meet you at the bottom corner...

Interesting video.

What is the difference between power sliding and drifting?

I don't think there's a definition as as such but I'd venture:

Angle of attack
Smoking tyres
Length of slide

Bits of it are powersliding but to give you some idea, the braking points on a circuit are where you would start the drift (or even earlier) decelerating sideways into the corner, keeping to the race line but sideways, obviously exiting sideways too. Then you have to do all this whilst up against an opponent, keeping up & even overtaking mid drift.

As far as I am aware, drifting is holding a continuous powerslide through multiple bends. Basically driving a road car like a hovercraft. It isn't _just_ a powerslide - its a really impressive one

That about sums it up thumbup Having driven on; or is it ridden or hoverred a hovercraft on one of those boys weekends thats exactly what it like funny enough. Probably sums up why I got the hang of it straight away hehe
