I want to get a sat nav system for the Tamora but i can't think of anywhere to put it without ruining the look of the interior or damaging the leather. The other option is to go for those really expensive ones that flip out of the stereo but they're over a grand. Any suggestions?

route the monitor to an embedded 7.5" or whatever the biggest one you can get in in the sunvisor. that way when its flipped up out of the way, envious eyes will not see it.

You've never seen a sunvisor in a recent model TVR have you? 2 inches would be too large.

I would look at installing a Smart Nav system.

Not sure on the exact cost for the initial purchase / installation but the best Sat Nav i have ever had by an absolut mile.

All you have is a small call button which is located somewhere under the dash or wherever you want so you see nothing. The reason it is so good is that 1. you only have a small button which is hidden away. 2. When you push the button you actual call a control centre which is based in the UK and they answer the call "hello Nick" or whatever you want them to answer with . The main reason that i love it is that you just tell the person on the end of the phone where you want to go as opposed to trying to enter postcodes etc on a fiddly Sat Nav system whilst driving and they will find it. You can also say things like can you send me to the nearest McDonalds and they will do it. They then send the information to your car and away you go. Beautiful.

The other thing is because it is a live system as opposed to reading from a disc it is constantly updated with new roads, closed roads, traffic jams as they happen and you can also have the speed camera alerts.

Definatly the way to go. In my opinion unbeatable.

There is no sun visor in a Tam!

I have just bought a Tomtom one v2, and the mounting thing sits quite nicely on the leather above the stereo, with the sucker thing wedged into the join between the flatter section of dash and the section that rolls up to bottom of the screen.. hope that makes sense. It was in place for the duration of LT on Sunday, didnt move an inch.

I have sat nav in the T350. It is the pioneer AVIC x1r. Greet peice of kit, does much more than sat nav, worth every penny. Fits in the standard radio mount with hid away unit under the passenger seat. Would recommend it if funds alllow. I got a deal on it, list is £2,400, Paid £900, fitted it myself. Also added DAB and Ipod into the system.
