My Chimaera is coming up for a 36,000 service. I've had the previous 2 done by my local chap who was a Rover dealer once upon a time, plus it's very convenient to shop locally.
However, this is a major service and the TVR garage charge £649.00 as opposed to a lot less with the local chap. But.........would the local chap do as good a job do you think?

Where abouts in East Anglia are you? Might be a bit of a trek but Offord's near Cambridge list their 12k sevice for Chimaera's at £360.

You could try Kerridges (used to be a TVR dealer, now indie) in Needham Market - I've used them and they seemed very good - a bit expensive though!

Scole Engineering near Diss are meant to be very good too!

I'd stick with the local guy (if you trust him). Just be specific in what work you need done in the service.

Hi badcompany.
Alex B mentioned two places. I have used both and Scole Engineering get my vote. They are enthusiastic, knowledgable and value for money.

Thanks Legend83, the £649 was from Kerridges, Offords price is very competitive. I do like Kerridges very much AlexB, but it does seem a lot of money. Thanks very much for all your input, I appreciate your comments.

Go to Scole engineering....half the price of Kerridges. I can testify to that.

Bad Company, tried to PM you but your profile won't allow it. I use this company along with several other PHers - www.sebringinternational.co.uk/ their based near Wisbech and Matt the service guy has extensive TVR knowledge, from Brundles TVR when they were going and other indies. Give him a call and I'm pretty sure you'll be pleased.

Same here. The '450 just came back from a 12K service & MOT - just over £400, IIRC.

...yup,found Kerridges a bit lumpy myself...although in their defence they were very thorough. They even found a couple of very minor niggles which I had neglected to mention, and sorted them out
