They only ask for your spec when you are nearing the top of the list.

That isn't going to happen. Not in 12 months.

Heads up to anyone planning to order an R8.

I've just cancelled my order with Leeds Audi, and had my deposit refunded (received today).

If anyone wishes to get a place high on the list, make your move now.

Thanks, Mark.

Do you mean 12 months from today or 12 months from the launch date?

Wouldn't be surprised.

If you look at the M6 which lists at 80k, a year on with low mileage you can bag a 60k example.

I don't want this to turn into a "let's speculate about R8 depreciation" thread, but Donut has a point.

Enjoy the R8 mate!

The R8 is different to the M6, the M6 is a faster 6 series and also has a better value for money brother aka M5 which has more seats and much better reveiws and will save you 20K.

The R8 is a new model not a faster version of an already on sale model. With the orders already in place and alocation available lead times will be long, hence pushing people to pay overs, whilst that continues depreciation will be almost nil, how long it will continue for is anyone guess!!

I will enjoy the R8 thanks doubt my boss will let me take it home though ......

Unless there is rapid promotion ahead for me scratchchin

12 months from release of the cars, they are grosely over-priced and this will reflect in sales, remember the waiting lists are all created by dealerships specing up demos, you see there will be plent to go round.

You seem very bearish on the R8.

With what evidence ?

I dont think you will have many but judging by the options price list you wont have many buyer either, have you speced one up? NO thought not, go spec one up and see what you've got pay, nearer £95K!!!!!! yep for an audi now that is laughable.

Is that 100 cars for 07? Any news on how many for 08, when the V10 is due and when the convertible is due?

Thanks
